seven-goal thriller
that was the

Almost two years exactly to the date, MLS and FOX sports are teaming up to showcase the magical performance of Carlos Vela and LAFC that ultimately was undone by the debut of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and his legendary midfield strike.

National Doctors Day: Former New England Revolution defender begins first days as attending ER physician this week in NY hospital
In honor of
National Doctors Day
, we’d like to recognize former New England Revolution defender Marshall Leonard who will

in a New York area hospital emergency room yesterday amid the COVID-19 outbreak in the region.
Leonard played six professional seasons with the Revolution in Major League Soccer (2002-2007), helping the club to four MLS Cup appearances in that span (2002, 2005-2007).
Leonard played collegiately at the University of Virginia before being selected by New England in the fourth round of the 2002 MLS SuperDraft. Following his time in professional soccer, Leonard studied at the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University in Long Island, NY.
His father Tommy Leonard, Jr. is also an M.D. and medical school professor.
Former Sporting Kansas City player Toni Dovale on front lines of COVID-19 emergency in Spain
A former member of Sporting Kansas City
has embraced an important role in the fight against COVID-19
in his native Spain.
Toni Dovale recorded four goals and four assists in 25 competitive appearances for Sporting Kansas City during a season-long spell in 2014. His 12-year professional career has included stints with Spanish clubs Celta Vigo, Lugo, Leganes and Rayo Vallecano as well as Indian side Bengaluru and Thai outfit Navy FC.
The 29-year-old had been playing in Thailand last winter but was visiting his family in Spain when the COVID-19 pandemic took hold. It was then that Dovale, who had completed his university studies in pharmacy four years ago, decided to swap the soccer kit for a pharmacist’s white coat.
Travel restrictions have prevented Dovale from venturing back to Thailand from Spain, so over the last several weeks, Dovale has served at his family’s pharmacy in Coruna as a front-line worker in the struggle against the novel coronavirus, making the most of an opportunity to help combat the public health crisis.
