Late last week, a report from French daily sports newspaper L'Equipe suggested center back Adil Rami, who was a part of France's 2018 World Cup-winning squad, could land in MLS if his desired exit from Turkey's Fenerbahce comes to fruition.

FC Dallas, Chicago Fire FC or the New York Red Bulls could all be landing spots for the 34-year-old Rami, who has been little used since moving from Olympique Marseille to Fenerbahce prior to the 2019-2020 season.

There is a catch, however. Rami's departure is contingent on Fenerbahce securing a loan for France-born Guinea national team defender Simon Falette. Although Fenerbahce had formally agreed to a with the Bundesliga's Eintracht Frankfurt, it has yet to be approved by the Turkish government, according to L'Equipe.

Rami has previously played at major European powers like A.C. Milan, Valencia and Sevilla after beginning his career at Ligue 1's Lille. He also was part of the French national team's 2018 FIFA World Cup 23-man roster, though he did not appear in a match in Russia.
