Check out Diego Rossi's game-winner for Uruguay in CONMEBOL Olympic qualifying

Diego Rossi - LAFC - Celebrate

The COMEBOL Olympic Pre-Olympic Tournament continued Sunday in Colombia with two matches that held implications for several MLS-based players, including one decided by a goal from LAFC attacker Diego Rossi.

Three minutes after halftime of Uruguay's 1-0 Group B-opening win against Paraguay, Rossi made a late run into the box behind Juan Ramirez's slicing run, sneaking into perfect position to receive Ramirez's square ball and cooly chip around the diving goalkeeper and a retreating defender.

Rossi went the full 90, picking up a booking in the 11th (yes, 11th) minute of second-half stoppage time. His new club teammate Francisco Ginella also came on for La Celeste in the 67th minute, while New York City FC's Jesus Medina and Cristhian Paredes, who the Portland Timbers are looking to bring back for 2020, went the full 90 in Paraguay's defeat.

Also in Group B Sunday, San Jose Earthquakes defender Marcos Lopez went 61 minutes in Peru's 1-0 loss to Brazil.

The CONMEBOL Pre-Olympic Tournament is played in two groups of five teams, with the top two group finishers advancing to the semifinals. The two semifinal winners will qualify to represent the confederation at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokoyo.
