Glorious chip by Toronto FC's Alejandro Pozuelo wins AT&T Goal of the Week

Alejandro Pozuelo lit up BMO Field in his MLS debut last week, netting two goals and an assist in Toronto FC’s stylish 4-0 demolition of New York City FC to grab the Audi Player Index Spotlight in the Week 5 Team of the Week.

You can now add an AT&T Goal of the Week triumph to his rapidly-growing list of MLS accolades.

The Spaniard’s second strike of the night, a sumptuous left-footed chip over a despairing Sean Johnson, has cruised to the Week 5 GOTW prize with 37% of the vote, safely outpacing second-place finisher Carlos Vela of LAFC (21%).

Wayne Rooney’s jaw-dropping angled free kick and Johnny Russell’s curling banger in Kansas City shared third place with 18% each, followed by a skillful finish by Philadelphia's David Accam (6%).
