Real Name: David Accam
HT: 5' 9" WT: 154
Age: 28 (09/28/1990)
Birthplace: Accra, Ghana

HOW ACQUIRED: Traded from Chicago on Jan. 19, 2018.

Accam is looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2018 season, which saw the speedy forward score just once in 23 regular-season appearances (13 starts), with 17 at left midfield and six at right midfield. That lone goal, though, was the winner against his former club as he tied the Union record for the latest game-winning tally in team history (90'+5'). He missed eight weeks following sports hernia surgery. Accam produced 33 goals in three seasons with the Fire.

INTERNATIONAL: Was a member of the Ghana squad that reached the final of the 2015 African Cup of Nations. Earned his first cap for the Black Stars on Jan. 19, 2015 when he entered in the first group match against Senegal. Scored his first international goal on June 14, 2015 in a 7-1 defeat of Maurituis. Started against the United States in his most recent appearance on July 1, 2017.

OUTSIDE MLS: A graduate of the Right to Dream Academy and one of eight players selected in "The Chance," a worldwide search by Nike to discover unearthed soccer talents, Accam turned pro in 2012, when he signed with Swedish club Osterunds FK. He spent just five months with Osterunds before moving to Swedish giants Helsingborgs IF, where he scored 30 goals in 62 league appearances and an additional eight goals in 11 Cup matches. He made a pair of Champions League and Europa League appearances with the club in 2012.
