The Colorado Rapids crushed USL League Two side Ventura County Fusion 5-0 on Saturday afternoon in Chula Vista, Calif. as part of MLS Preseason presented by Advocare.
Newcomers Nicolas Mezquida and Diego Rubio each scored a brace, with 2019 MLS SuperDraft pick Andre Shinyashiki adding the capper in the second half for the MLS outfit.
The Rapids will next be in action on Tuesday against fellow MLS side Toronto FC, again in Chula Vista.
