At Wednesday's media availability, Toronto FC coach Greg Vanney revealed a decision was in on the review of the halftime red card issued to Jozy Altidore from their Eastern Conference Semifinal Leg 2 against the New York Red Bulls.
"Jozy's suspension has been upheld," said Vanney, according to TorontoFC.ca." The referees had given him a red card, so the burden of proof was on us to prove that it wasnāt. We werenāt able to do that with video we provided because there were still some gaps in the video."
The MLS Disciplinary Committee has also been reviewing the incident, apart from the red card appeal, which could only be decided by the Independent Panel.
