World Cup: Mexico manager Miguel Herrera names 23-man roster for Brazil 2014

Miguel Herrera didn't waste time with a provisional roster on Friday. Instead, the Mexico manager went all in on the 23 players El Tri will bring to Brazil.

There were very few surprises from Herrera, with stalwarts Rafa Márquez, Carlos Salcido, Javier "Chicharito" Hernández and Giovani dos Santos headlining the squad. As expected, Real Sociedad forward Carlos Vela was not included in the 23-man roster.

One inclusion that Americans should take note of is that of midfielder Isaac Brizuela. Brizuela was born in San Jose, Calif., and considered playing with the US national team before being called in by Mexico for the 2013 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
