That's the message FC Dallas are asking you to spread to the MLS media world, linking their rookie forward Tesho Akindele to the 2014 MLS Rookie of the Year award.
In a new campaign launched last week, Akindele and teammate Matt Hedges can be seen acting out a (very good) spoof of the classic teenage comedy Napoleon Dynamite (above video).
In our minds, there's no shame whatsoever in a club campaigning for their players to win postseason awards. In fact, we encourage clubs to have fun with it, just as FCD have done here.
There's also an accompanying infographic — with a bonus photo of Tesho as Pedro — outlining Akindele's Rookie of the Year qualifications. Spoiler alert: He's a highly qualified candidate.
One suggestion for a potential follow-up video: Needs more tots.
