New England Revolution make good on Patriots-Broncos bet, change Twitter avatar to Colorado Rapids crest | SIDELINE

New England Revolution head coach Jay Heaps not happy in loss to Vancouver Whitecaps

Sunday wasn’t a banner day for the Kraft family.

The New England Revolution owners saw their NFL team, the New England Patriots, lose a 20-18 heartbreaker in the AFC Championship Game at the Denver Broncos to fall just short of an appearance in Super Bowl 50.

The Revs digital staff were unsurprisingly not thrilled with the finish. Making matters worse? They had to make good on their pregame bet with the Colorado Rapids, with the Revs switching their Twitter avatar to the Rapids crest.

As of press time, New England still had the Colorado logo as their avatar. No word on when they’ll switch back.

Take note Revs digital team: The Patriots are scheduled to play the Broncos again in the 2016 regular season. They’ll also meet the LA Rams, who are owned by Rapids owner Stan Kroenke. Sounds like a couple of chances for revenge.
