Real Salt Lake GM Elliot Fall gets the "Mean Tweets" treatment

Elliott Fall - Real Salt Lake - mean tweets

All those tweets you send into the abyss about how your front office is handling the roster? General managers and decision-makers might actually see those.

At least Real Salt Lake general manager Elliot Fall did, as he recently featured in a club video and read aloud some of those very tweets. They’ve framed it Jimmy Kimmel style, taking inspiration from their celebrity mean tweets series.

One of the more straightforward ones read, “I’m okay with Fall because I pretty much know nothing about him.” Another took a blunt jab by stating, “Simply put, the least exciting hire ever.”

Fall, alongside head coach Freddy Juarez, had his interim tag removed last December. He previously served as assistant general manager under Craig Waibel and was the salary cap and economic specialist under Garth Lagerwey, who’s now with the Seattle Sounders.

Fall’s first offseason in charge of RSL notably saw Nick Rimando retire after an illustrious goalkeeping career and Jefferson Savarino transferred to Brazilian club Atletico Mineiro for a club-record fee. In terms of incoming transfers, Jeizon Ramirez joined as a promising winger and Italian-American forward Giuseppe Rossi was acquired after his lengthy spell as a free agent.
