Social media has been ablaze since the Galaxy made Chicharito's arrival official with this video posted to the club's official Twitter account Monday morning, following days of speculation surrounding the Mexican superstar's potential move to MLS.

Just minutes later, LAFC made sure to let the world know that they've taken note of their new arch-nemesis, responding to Chicharito's arrival with a pair of tweets of their own, neither of which included any words.

The man pictured in that first photo, of course, would be reigning MLS MVP and Golden Boot winner Carlos Vela, who is coming off arguably the most dominant campaign in league history. Vela and Chicharito have known each other for years through their affiliations with the Mexican national team — a whole new subplot for the rivalry matches between the sides that are already some of the highest-intensity in all of MLS.
We don't know how Chicharito will fare in the league yet, but one thing seems certain: El Trafico just became that much more fun.
