TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Trialist
Bradley Wright-Phillips has started preseason ahead of what he hopes is his eighth Major League Soccer season.
For the first time, though, it’s not with the New York Red Bulls.
The two-time MLS Golden Boot presented by Audi winner is with Los Angeles Football Club, which opened camp Monday. The 34-year-old forward is out of contract following an injury-plagued 2019 season.

Also, following reports this weekend, #LAFC have confirmed Bradley Wright-Phillips is on trial in preseason camp. One of my very favorite players to talk to over the years, and pretty good at scoring in MLS, too.— Alicia Rodriguez (@soccermusings) January 13, 2020
At the conclusion of a season in which he had just two goals and four assists with nine starts in 24 appearances, BWP said he wasn’t ready to hang up his boots and had not entertained the thought of retirement.
Wright-Phillips is the quickest player in league history to score 100 league goals and the first to score 20 goals or more in three different seasons.
