TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

The LA Galaxy are reportedly monitoring Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos, a Colombian goalscorer who leads the line for Steven Gerrard's side.

According to Rangers club ambassador Richard Gough, Galaxy technical director Jovan Kirovski was in attendance this weekend to watch Morelos score in his side's 5-0 thrashing of Aberdeen.

ā€œJovan is a friend of mine and I sat next to him at the game on Saturday,ā€ Rangers club ambassador Richard Gough told The Scotsman. ā€œHe is in Europe to see a number of things at the moment. He was asking me about Alfredo and I told him heā€™s just a pure goalscorer."

Morelos, 23, moved to Rangers in the summer of 2017, where he immediately became a reliable goalscorer. Over 108 appearances with the club, he has 61 goals and 23 assists.

The striker has had disciplinary issues in the past, receiving four red cards and 10 yellow cards in league play last season as he had 18 goals and four assists in 30 appearances. Morelos received a call-up to the Colombian national team for friendlies against Chile and Algeria this month. He has three appearances for the senior side.

Meanwhile, for the Galaxy, Kirovski's trip isn't over, as he's headed to Germany next according to Gough.

ā€œJovan is also a friend of Steven Gerrard, who played for LA Galaxy," Gough said. "The MLS has a lot of money but heā€™s over checking out a lot of things. Heā€™s off to Germany next.ā€
