Raul Ruidiaz twice came close to opening the scoring for the Seattle Sounders in the first half -- he struck the crossbar on one occasion and was ruled offside on the other -- and then German powers Borussia Dortmund jumped ahead and never looked back in a 3-1 win in front of 37,722 at CenturyLink Field.
Marius Wolf found the back of the net in the 37th minute and Paco Alcácer doubled the visitors' lead after the halftime break. Sounders center back Jonathan Campbell headed home a corner kick to pull one back in the 55th minute, but Dortmund's Jadon Sancho added another goal in the 77th minute for the final 3-1 scoreline.

Jack Grealish put the Villans in front in the 32nd minute and Aston Villa capitalized on a pair of Loons defensive miscues as Henri Lansbury doubled the lead in the 82nd minute before Bikir Bjarnason closed the scoring four minutes from full time.

FC Dallas conceded a pair of goals after halftime in a 3-1 loss to Sevilla FC at Toyota Stadium.
After Luuk De Jong put Sevilla FC ahead in the 22nd minute, Santiago Mosquera leveled for FC Dallas in the 42nd minute with a stunner, creating space following several step-overs before slipping a shot inside the far post.
Joan Jordan fired in a free kick in the 52nd minute and Nolito capped the scoring in the 83rd minute for Sevilla.

Chris Wondolowski saw his late penalty kick hit the crossbar as the San Jose Earthquakes settled for a 1-1 tie against La Liga side Real Valladolid at Avaya Stadium.
MLS's all-time leading scorer came on in the second half and scored the equalizer on the hour mark on a cross from Paul Marie. Real Valladolid took the lead in the first half on a 34th-minute set piece from Sandro Castillo.

Only 48 hours after tying 2-2 on the road against the Portland Timbers in MLS Week 19, the Rapids returned home to face Arsenal, a club which was playing its first match of the 2019-'20 preseason and its first-ever match in the state of Colorado. Both clubs are owned by Stan Kroenke.
The Gunners prevailed with a 3-0 win thanks to goals by teenagers Bukayo Saka (12th min), James Olayinka (29th min) and Gabriel Martinelli (60th min).
