Vancouver Whitecaps FC have been busy remaking their roster and a new report suggests that project may not yet be complete.

Football Italia cited reporting from Sky Sports Italia on Friday that Vancouver will be bringing in defender Ali Adnan on loan. Adnan, 25, has been on loan at Atalanta from fellow Serie A side Udinese, but will move to North America for the next part of his career, per the report.

Adnan, a Baghdad native, is one of Iraqi soccer's biggest stars. Getting his start with his hometown club in 2010, he moved first to Turkey to play for Rizespor in 2013, and then to Italy to join Udinese in 2015. A left back or left wingback, he is adept at set piece delivery.

On the international stage, Adnan was introduced to the world at the 2013 U-20 World Cup, where he was the star in Iraq's surprise run to the semifinal. A senior international since 2012, he has 66 caps to date for his country. If he were to join MLS, he would be the second Iraqi international in the league, joining Columbus Crew SC winger Justin Meram.
