TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Rumor

Costa Rican powerhouse Saprissa has been a significant feeder for MLS teams in recent years, and that trend may yet continue, according to a new report.

Futbol Centroamerica reported on Wednesday that Joseph Mora may be the next import to MLS, quoting Saprissa assistant coach Victor Cordero as saying that, "There are advanced negotiations between Saprissa and an MLS team to take the Costa Rican abroad."

Mora, 25, is a left-sided player, said to be capable both at left back and left wing. With Saprissa since 2015, he's won two league titles. Starting his career at hometown Belen in 2011, Mora had two stints at that club, sandwiched between a spell with CS Uruguay de Coronado in 2012-13. He also was a Costa Rican youth international.

While Mora's mooted destination in MLS is not revealed in the Futbol Centroamerica report, if he did move north he would join the likes of Francisco CalvoDavid Guzman and Adolfo Machado as Saprissa players to make the jump to MLS in recent times.
