TRANSFER TRACKER: Report

Are two African internationals considering MLS deals?

According to one report out of France, Cedric Hountondji is weighing a move to either Greece or MLS after parting ways with Ligue 2 side Gazelec Ajaccio. The 23-year-old central defender of Beninese descent was born in France and played for several French national youth teams before debuting for the Benin national team last year.

Another report out of Egypt states that Moroccan international Walid Azaro (pictured above) has received an offer from an unspecified MLS club but that his coach at Egypt’s Al Ahly SC does not want to let him go. Azaro, a 22-year-old striker, has scored 12 goals in 20 games since joining the Egyptian side in 2017. He's appeared three times for the Moroccan national team, which qualified for this summer's World Cup in Russia.
