The Seattle Sounders are through to the Western Conference Semifinals yet again, thanks to their 1-0 Knockout Round win against Sporting Kansas City on Thursday night.
The victory by the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference will next see them take on FC Dallas, the No. 1 seed in the West. Their home-and-home series will begin on Sunday at CenturyLink Field in Seattle (9:30 pm ET; FS1 in US | TSN2 in Canada).
The teams have met in the last two postseasons with Seattle eliminating Dallas in 2014 and Dallas returning the favor in 2015, when they eliminated the Sounders in penalty kicks.
It's tough to look back at the three games played between the teams this season, as the now-injured Mauro Diaz featured heavily in Dallas' two wins and Seattle's win came against a Dallas side mostly comprised of reserves.
