Could fans soon be seeing "dos" of the dos Santos family in Los Angeles?
Giovani dos Santos told Fox Sports his younger brother Jonathan has expressed interest in making the move from Spain to play alongside his sibling for the LA Galaxy.
The elder brother joined the Galaxy last year from Villarreal in a high-profile signing for the club, and now it looks like his younger brother is interested in following in his footsteps. Jonathan dos Santos has played with Villarreal in La Liga since 2014 where the defensive midfielder has 41 appearances. Prior to that, he was signed with powerhouse club Barcelona.
During this week's MLS media and marketing tour, Giovani dos Santos also took an upbeat look at the future of MLS, telling Sports Illustrated: "It’s different [in MLS] from the type of game in Europe. Here it’s more physical, there it’s more technical. MLS is growing, and it needs a few more years to get to the prestige of Europe. But it will get there.”
Since joining the Galaxy on July 15, 2015, he has tallied three goals and five assists in 10 games and figures to be an integral part of the LA roster in 2016.
