VIDEO: D.C. United's Bobby Boswell lived every 90s kid's dream as a contestant on Nickelodeon's GUTS | SIDELINE

D.C. United defender Bobby Boswell has lived the life that every child familiar with the 1990s has ever dreamt.

No, not that he became a professional athlete and now earns a living by playing a game you probably loved and as a child would have said you'd play for free. Sure, that's cool and all, but:

Boswell, who recently returned to the club where he started his professional soccer career, was a contestant on every 90s kid's favorite Nickelodeon game show, GUTS.

It was either GUTS or Legends of the Hidden Temple, and GUTS always won out because it had The Crag, The Aggro Crag, The Mega Crag and The Super Aggro Crag.

In hindsight, the 90s was a strange time, but not if you were a kid. So, if today you're looking for another reason to hate a professional athlete for the life he lives, check out an 11-year-old Bobby Boswell on GUTS (above video, from 2007).
