NEW YORK – The 2010 Xbox 360 Fair Play award of 2010 was awarded Wednesday to Philadelphia Union fan favorite Sebastien Le Toux who, for the second consecutive season, did not see a single caution card despite being one of the league leaders in total minutes played this year.
The Fair Play award will serve as somewhat of a consolation for Le Toux, who compiled offensive statistics most considered worthy of MVP consideration. The 26-year-old’s breakout season resulted in 14 goals and 11 assists for the expansion Union, and he factored in more than 70 percent of his team’s scoring in 2010.
The Frenchman, who started all but two matches for Philadelphia in league play, committed only 10 fouls in 2,520 minutes of action over 28 games. He played in just as many matches for the Seattle Sounders in 2009 and committed even fewer fouls (7) without having a single card shown his way.
