Along with six other qualifiers – Mexico, Panama, Honduras, Cuba, Haiti and the winner of a playoff between Guatemala and Costa Rica – the teams will compete for two automatic berths in Brazil via a tournament to be held in the US from Oct. 1-13. The third-place team will have a chance to play in the Olympics as well, entering a playoff with Colombia for an additional slot.
