Orlando City SC have been linked to another Brazilian player ahead of the team’s 2015 Major League Soccr debut.

Brazilian outlet Rádio Globo reported earlier this week that Orlando City are set to land 28-year-old forward Flávio Caça-Rato from Brazilian side Santa Cruz after he helped lift the club back into Serie B last season.

Also known as Flávio Recife or Flávio Augusto do Nascimento, the Brazilian has scored 19 league goals in four seasons for Santa Cruz.

"We’re continuing to look for players as we look to 2015 and hope to make announcements in the future," Lions spokesman Lenny Santiago told the Orlando Sentinel, without confirming the club’s interest in Caça-Rato.

Orlando City owner and chairman Flavio Augusto da Silva (above, left) hails from Rio de Janeiro and has been open about his affinity for signing players from his native country, and added Brazilian icon and former FIFA World Player of the Year Kaká as the team’s first Designated Player in June.
