TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report
The New England Revolution are considering a multi-million-dollar swoop for one of two Colombian central midfielders, according a report from Bogota-based journalist Pablo Rios Gonzalez on Wednesday.
Rios Gonzalez claims that the Revs have $3 million they plan to spend on a blue-chip reinforcement in the center of the park and are eyeing Independiente Medellin's Didier Moreno and Luis Alberto Caicedo of second-division side Cortulua.
Caicedo, 21, is a holding midfielder who can also work at the fullback slots, while Moreno, 26, is a more experienced operator typically utilized in a box-to-box role but also capable of filling a No. 6's duties.
New England's depth chart is relatively thin at deep midfield at the moment; the Revs open their 2018 campaign at Philadelphia on Saturday (7 pm ET | MLS LIVE).
