FC Cincinnati are planning to debut their new downtown stadium in mid-May, and it’s already drawing praise before even hosting a game.
ESPN color commentator Taylor Twellman went on SportsNation, praising how West End Stadium is taking shape, likening it to top-end stadiums at European clubs. The soccer-specific ground is expected to seat 26,000 fans and is being privately funded at $250 million.

Now heading into their third MLS season, FC Cincinnati spent the last two competing at Nippert Stadium on the University of Cincinnati's campus. While they’ve struggled results-wise, they’re looking to make a splash in 2021 after signing Brazilian forward Brenner from Sao Paulo.
The 2021 MLS season is scheduled to begin April 17, and anticipation continues to build as their new digs get some final touches.
