The New England Revolution have launched the Revolution Remote Training Team, supplying a free library of virtual soccer demonstrations and educational resources that promote stay-at-home skill development as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to limit in-person instruction.

The Revolution Remote Training Team offers free access to a collection of educational soccer videos that include ball mastery, passing and receiving, goalkeeping technique and finishing. The video catalog contains instruction from Revolution Academy coaches and demonstrations from MLS players.

Those interested in joining the Revolution Remote Training Team can register for free here.

“As we listened to parents, coaches and young athletes across New England who had their routines disrupted and youth soccer seasons canceled due to the pandemic, we recognized the importance of building a remote-learning platform that helps children stay connected to the beautiful game while remaining physically active, even while confined to their homes,” Revolution Academy director Deven Apajee said in a release. “We are excited to provide these resources that will help instill healthy habits in young athletes while furthering their soccer development, and we look forward to growing the Remote Training Team even more in the future.”

Members who join the Revolution Remote Training Team get a unique password to the content library, which will grow as further resources are added. This winter, the Revolution are adding new content focused on small-space drills and indoor activities including yoga, stretching and more.

Participants are encouraged to share their experiences and own skill videos on social media with the hashtag #NERevsRemote.
