A first-ever meeting between Orlando City SC and Nashville SC in the MLS is Back Tournament July 20 could go a long way toward determining advancement out of Group A.
The Lions kicked off their rivalry with Inter Miami CF in the tournament's opening match July 8, while Nashville SC took on Chicago Fire FC in the second match of a Matchday 1 doubleheader.
Orlando City SC were still looking for Oscar Pareja's first win as head coach entering the tournament after a season-opening 0-0 home draw against Real Salt was followed by a 2-1 defeat to the host Colorado Rapids. Similarly, Nashville were seeking their first MLS win with the expansion side suffering a pair of one-goal defeats to Atlanta United and the Portland Timbers.
