Los Angeles International Airport is chaotic on an average day. Toss in the arrival of Mexican icon Javier “Chicharito” Hernandez and, you guessed it, mayhem.
Hundreds of fans greeted the LA Galaxy’s newly-minted Designated Player when he landed at Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX Wednesday night.
El Tri’s all-time leading scorer touches down a day after the official announcement of his transfer from Sevilla.
Fans screamed, chanting “Chi-charito, Chi-Chi-charito” as a bevy of cell phones clamored to get a glimpse of the historic moment.
Chicharito paused to sign a few autographs, took a selfie and acknowledged the throng with a few thumbs up.

The 31-year old will meet his new team on Thursday, taking part in his first training session in the morning before his introductory press conference later in the day.
