MLS Disciplinary Committee fines three players after Week 7

Following Week 7 of the 2019 MLS regular season, the MLS Disciplinary Committee has fined three players.


Alonso hands to head/face/neck

The Disciplinary Committee has found Minnesota United FC midfielder Osvaldo Alonso in violation of the leagueā€™s policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent. Alonso has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in the 90+ minute of Minnesotaā€™s match against New York City FC on April 13. 


Mezquida simulation/embellishment

The Disciplinary Committee has found Colorado Rapids midfielder NicolĆ”s Mezquida guilty of simulation/embellishment. Mezquida has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in the 90+ minute of Coloradoā€™s match against D.C. United on April 13.


Deplagne hands to head/face/neck

The Disciplinary Committee has found FC Cincinnati defender Mathieu Deplagne in violation of the leagueā€™s policy regarding hands to the face, head or neck of an opponent. Deplagne has been fined an undisclosed amount for his actions in the 41st minute of Cincinnatiā€™s match against LAFC on April 13.


Further disciplinary actions related to incidents from the previous match week may be announced at a later date.
