TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS:Report
Vancouver Whitecaps FC have been busy working on their roster for the upcoming season, and a new report claims the club will be looking to North Africa for their next transfer target.
Canadian reporter Sofiane Benzaza reported on Twitter on Friday that the Whitecaps will be adding Tunisian defender Jasser Khemiri via transfer from Stade Tunisien.
Khemiri, 21, has spent his career to date with Stade Tunisien, making 36 appearances in the Tunisian top flight. A report from Football 365 claims he has drawn interest from teams in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Belgium, but will ultimately be headed to Vancouver.
The Whitecaps open their 2019 MLS regular season slate on March 2 at home against Minnesota United FC.
