D.C. United announce local broadcast partnership with FloSports

D.C. United are moving to a new home for local broadcasts.

The club reached a multiyear broadcast partnership agreement with FloSports to air their non-nationally televised MLS matches, which they announced on Tuesday. United fans from Richmond, Va. to all of Washington, D.C., Maryland and Delaware will be able to watch their club on FloFC.com, where all games will be aired in high definition.

“D.C. United are committed to providing fans with an innovative and high-quality viewing experience for all of our regionally broadcast matches,” Sam Porter, D.C. United senior vice president, said in a media release. “Our partnership with FloSports presents a unique opportunity for fans to get behind-the-scenes access to the D.C. United club, including Wayne Rooney, Luciano Acosta, Bill Hamid and Paul Arriola, while also providing a world-class broadcast production for viewers.”

FloSports will also provide year-round content in both English and Spanish around D.C. United.

“We’re thrilled to enter into this partnership with D.C. United,” Mark Floreani, FloSports co-founder, said. “We feel fortunate to find a partner that understands what we do, and also understands how passionate we are about the sports we cover. We think this is the start of something great for FloSports, and we can’t wait to begin the 2019 season.”

D.C. United season ticket members, partners and supporters' group members (Screaming Eagles, La Barra Brava, and the District Ultras) are eligible to receive subscriptions at a discounted rate of $5.99/month. Others who purchase this package from D.C. United will be charged $8.99/month.
