Colorado Rapids striker Shkelzen Gashi's rocket wins AT&T Goal of the Week

Here's a lesson for MLS teams: Don't give Shkelzen Gashi time to shoot.

On Saturday night the LA Galaxy gave the Rapids' Albanian international time to pick his spot, and Gashi responded by firing a rocket into the top corner of the net to open the scoring in what would finish a 1-1 draw.

Marlon Hairston laid a ball across the top of the box and Gashi hit it perfectly first time for his fourth goal of the year. Gashi defeated Seattle Sounders midfielder Nicolas Lodeiro in the final of the bracket, collecting 64 percent of the vote.

The Rapids Designated Player had previously defeated Simon Dawkins (San Jose Earthquakes) and Jozy Altidore (Toronto FC) to advance to the final.
