Joe Bendik's late stop on Donald Smith voted Week 9 MLS Save of the Week

Joe Bendik's late parry of a Donnie Smith shot did not just help earn Orlando City a point -- It also won him an accolade.

Bendik came up big to deny Smith in stoppage time of Orlando City's 2-2 road draw with the New England Revolution, and the block was voted the winner of Week 9's MLS Save of the Week. Bendik stopped Smith of a would-be winner shortly after Carlos Rivas netted the equalizer, and the save beat out Houston Dynamo goalkeeper Joe Willis' double denial of Juan Manuel Martinez in the final round of voting.

Bendik has now won the Save of the Week honors twice in 2016. He previously claimed the Week 5 award.
