Georgia artists--or just eager Atlanta United fans ready to pick up a pencil or brush--check out this sweet opportunity for you.

AMB Sports & Entertainment (AMBSE), the ownership group of Atlanta United FC, has teamed up with the Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) to announce an open call for Georgia artist portfolio reviews. AMBSE and SCAD are looking to identify and acquire cutting-0edge local art for the collection at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which will house both Atlanta United FC and the NFL's Falcons.

Artists of all levels and experience are encouraged to submit work, but this is all about local love--they have to be based in Georgia.

Some of themes AMBSE and SCAD are looking for include but are not limited to soccer, the history and culture of Atlanta and Georgia, and fan excitement.

“We’re excited to partner with SCAD to enhance Mercedes-Benz Stadium with locally sourced art,” said AMBSE senior vice president Mike Egan in a statement. “This will be an iconic building for the city of Atlanta and we are proud to support Georgia artists who will bring a unique perspective to the fan and guest experience.”

Those interested in participating are asked to email a portfolio with up to five JPEGs representing their style along with a CV and artist statement to ATLstadium@scad.edu.

The deadline to submit work is Feb. 12, 2015 at 5 p.m. ET.
Atlanta United FC is set to begin play in MLS and at the state-of-the-art Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2017.
