Historic? Orlando City SC rookie Cyle Larin's hat-trick, by the numbers | SIDELINE

He may not have had a victory to celebrate on Sunday, but Orlando City's Cyle Larin joined some pretty impressive company with his hat trick against New York City FC.

The forward, who appears to be the frontrunner for MLS Rookie of the Year at this point, scored three goals for the Lions at Yankee Stadium in a wild 5-3 loss.

Still, Larin can console himself with these facts, courtesy of ESPN's Paul Carr, that put him in the company of the likes of Sebastien Le Toux, Dwayne De Rosario, reigning MLS Rookie of the Year (and fellow Canadian international) Tesho Akindele, Diego Serna, and the late Bobby Rhine:

Not bad company for Larin, the No. 1 overall SuperDraft pick out of UConn. Not bad at all.
