Throwback Thursday: D.C. United's Bill Hamid goes on epic, shirtless post-red card rant | SIDELINE

D.C. United's Bill Hamid in control vs. Vancouver Whitecaps

Today's Throwback Thursday moment — which happened two years ago on Saturday — will never cease to be compelling footage.

Moments after being sent off — unjustly, in his own mind — D.C. United goalkeeper Bill Hamid let out his every ounce of passion and intensity inside the locker room area of Red Bull Arena.

United would go on to win the game, 1-0, and the Eastern Conference semifinals series, 2-1, but Hamid's antics and boisterous "They can't hold us back" proclomations still remain the lasting image of that wild night in Harrison, N.J.

The 23-year-old Hamid has, of course, grown and matured since that outburst and hopes that a 2-0 first-leg defeat to those same New York Red Bullscan't hold United back on Saturday (2:30 pm ET, NBC, live stream on NBCSports.com, UDN).
