AMSTERDAM – Mix Diskerud and Rosenborg dropped out of Europa League qualifying on Thursday by squandering an early lead to suffer a 1-1 aggregate loss to Karabükspor.

Picking up from the scoreless away leg, the US midfielder picked up a yellow card in 75 minutes of work in the deciding 1-1 draw. Rosenborg led the game after just eight minutes but leaked the fateful equalizer 10 minutes before halftime and were never able to conjure a winning reply.

Meanwhile, Molde FK backup goalkeeper Ethan Horvath watched the hosts fall out of the draw after losing 2-1 (3-2 on aggregate) on a last-minute own-goal.

Brad Friedel's Tottenham and Fabian Johnson's new employers Borussia Mönchengladbach will now join the proceedings as seeded teams for Friday's playoff-round draw.
