Portland's Will Johnson celebrates his goal with Darlington Nagbe

Real Salt Lake players and fans have a lot of love in their heart for Will Johnson, the feisty Canadian midfielder who was key to their run to the MLS Cup 2009 title and to the 2010-11 CONCACAF Champions League final.


Maybe the love isn't so mutual.


On Sunday, The Portland Timbers captain ripped a 14th-minute free kick to the far corner of Nick Rimando's net (with the help of some uncharacteristically poor goalkeeping from his old pal) to put his new team ahead at his old stomping grounds.


To be fair, the celebration was pretty muted — this is only Johnson's second trip back to Rio Tinto since the offseason trade that sent him west. But check out the nasty curl on the ball in the clip below.
