Report: Bayern Munich prospect Julian Green hasn't ruled out USMNT future despite German interest

Jurgen Klinsmann after the USMNT loss to Costa Rica

After bringing John Brooks into the fold, could Jurgen Klinsmann be on the trail of another hot young German prospect?

Perhaps. But he may have to beat out Die Mannschaft to do so.

At the very least, the 18-year-old Bayern Munich winger hasn't ruled out an international future with the United States, despite the fact that he recently returned from a stint with the German U-19 national team.

Green scored seven times during preseason for Bayern before being shipped down to the U-23 side, where promptly scored twice in the team's opener.

In an interview with the German Football Federation's website, he admitted to having previous contact with Klinsmann but emphasized he was focused on his club career at the moment.

Still, USMNT fans will be encouraged by the fact that Green accepted a US U-18 call-up last September, scoring in his debut against the Netherlands.

What do you think? Should the USMNT push hard for Green?Could he be the latest dual international to make an impact for Klinsmann?
