Teemu Tainio in a FInnish soap opera

At some point during a professional footballer's career, he must ask himself, "What am I going to do when my playing days are over?" The body only goes as the mind wills it to for so long, and eventually a man's sporting career comes to an end.

Former New York Red Bulls midfielder Teemu Tainio, 33, currently playing for Finnish club HJK in his native Finland, has apparently found his post-playing career calling as the newest Finnish soap opera star. Or at least that's the way it appears.

The scene in the above video is a commercial for a Finnish online betting company. But it certainly seems like something straight out of a terrible mid-day television soap opera. There's Tainio, who stole the love of his own brother's life and the heartbreak and anguish he caused.

And finally there's the father of the two men, making a dramatic stage left entrance to drop the bombshell of all soap opera bombshells. Not to spoil the surprise or the drama, we'll let you watch for yourself. Because this is all somehow related to sports betting.

A hat tip to you, though, Mr. Tainio. You delivered your one line in the scene, consisting of one short sentence, impeccably and with such conviction.
