Yanks on a plane: USMNT take off for World Cup qualifier in Jamaica | THE SIDELINE

Jermaine Jones, on airplane to Jamaica

Professional athletes always travel swagged up from head to toe in team gear with laps full of the latest electronic gadgets, pranking their teammates while sleeping on the plane like nobody's business. And the cool thing about about social media is they get to show it to us in real time.

The US national team departed from Washington, D.C., Tuesday morning, headed for Kingston, Jamaica, where they will face the Reggae Boyz with three very important points on the line on Friday night in the final stage of World Cup qualifying (9:30 pm ET, beIN Sport).

As always, the travel day for our boys in the Stars and Stripes was made complete by Tim Howard looking very presidential, Eddie Johnson taking selfies from his seat and Jermaine Jones just straight kickin' it across his own row. Also, American soccer's favorite "that dude" is en route to Kingston as well, traveling, as always, like the absolute boss that he is.

And now, for my favorite US national team travel day section of social media awesome-ness, I present to you, "Where in the World is That Dude, Shawn Francis?"
