A Union academy alum with experience in the US youth international setup, Freese made just one start in 2020, but it was a shutout on Decision Day that helped the Union clinch their first Supporters' Shield. 

INTERNATIONAL: Freese is a United States youth international. He received his first call-up as a member of the Union in 2019, by the United States Under-23 national team ahead of a training camp in Chula Vista, CA from September 1-10. During the camp, he started a friendly vs. Japan (September 9), keeping a clean sheet for 45 minutes. Previously, he was called up by the Under-19 National Team for training camp in February of 2017.

OUTSIDE MLS: Freese made seven appearances (seven starts) for Philadelphia Union II in 2019.

COLLEGE: Over two seasons at Harvard University, Freese played in 16 matches, totaling 77 saves. In his second season, he earned Second-Team All-Ivy League honors.
