WATCH: 2013 MLS Cup champions Sporting Kansas City's White House visit

The White House, Washington DC

Nearly 10 months after hoisting the MLS Cup trophy, Sporting Kansas City followed tradition with a visit to the White House, and don't worry if you missed it, you can watch the ceremony again.

Sporting KC were welcomed to the White House by president Barack Obama on Wednesday afternoon in honor of their 2013 MLS Cup championship, and President Obama recognized the team for their efforts on the field and in the community.

If you're looking for more content from the ceremony, defender Matt Besler took over the official MLS Instagram account, and there will be photos and reaction to follow on MLSsoccer.com

Sporting KC became the 2013 MLS Cup champions last December after beating Real Salt Lake, 7-6, in a memorable penalty-kick shootout following a 1-1 draw in a freezing Sporting Park. They will remain in D.C. for the remainder of the week in the lead-up to Friday's nationally televised meeting against D.C. United (8 pm ET, NBCSN).
