After what seems like years and years of teaser videos and anticipation of what will surely be a stirring film, the premiere date for American Football (trailer above) — a documentary about the Seattle Sounders, produced by LevyFilms — has finally been set for Wednesday, Oct. 23.
LevyFilms is the same video production team that routinely produces amazing video packages of Sounders home games, as well as this summer's US national team game, at CenturyLink Field.
The premiere will be hosted by Seattle's Cinerama Theater at 7 pm PT. Tickets for the premiere go on sale this Thursday either through the theater's website or the theater box office.
American Football is just as much as about the stories of the men wearing the Sounders jersey as it is about them playing the actual game of soccer. From the trailer, you get a glimpse of incredibly in-depth, personal interviews with the likes Eddie Johnson, Osvaldo Alonso, Brad Evans, Fredy Montero and many more.
Also, American Football is your chance to see what a completely irate Sigi Schmid looks and sounds like inside the locker following a 3-0 playoff loss. Spoiler: He is passionately enraged.
As well as the news of the film preview, LevyFilms also dropped earlier this week their latest video package, this one of last Friday's showdown between the Sounders and Real Salt Lake. It can be seen below.
