TRANSFER TRACKER STATUS: Report

Keylor Navas remains Paris Saint-Germain’s starting goalkeeper for now, though Spanish outlet Don Balon is reporting that the Costa Rican star could depart Ligue 1 for MLS in 2021.

PSG are reportedly eyeing changes at goalkeeper next summer as AC Milan's Gianluigi Donnarumma becomes a free agent, giving them a younger option between the posts. Donnarumma, 21, has also emerged as Italy’s starting goalkeeper.

Should the French powerhouse indeed land Donnarumma, it’d potentially relegate Navas to a backup role. But his exit from PSG might not be straightforward, with ESPN Deportes previously reporting that Navas’ deal runs through 2023 and that he's expressed a desire to retire as a PSG player.

The 33-year-old goalkeeper joined PSG for the 2019-20 season and was their starter en route to a Ligue 1 title and Champions League runner-up finish. He previously spent five seasons at La Liga giants Real Madrid, where he won three Champions League finals and four FIFA Club World Cups.

One of the best-ever goalkeepers from Concacaf, Navas has represented Costa Rica 91 times on the international stage, including at the 2014 and 2018 FIFA World Cups. Should he come to MLS, he’d be a frontrunner for the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year Award and likely command a significant salary.
