The Montreal Impact are postseason-bound, but not solely by their own doing.
An 86th-minute goal from Tosaint Ricketts forced the Impact to settle for a 2-2 draw with Toronto FC on Sunday afternoon. The result at Stade Saputo was enough to clinch a playoff berth for Montreal only because the New England Revolution suffered a 2-1 loss to the Chicago Fire on Sunday.
Ignacio Piatti led the Impact against Toronto, bagging a brace that included a splendid 19th-minute opener. Jozy Altidore canceled that impressive goal out in the 51st minute with a close-range finish, but Piatti would push Montreal ahead again four minutes later with a well-taken penalty kick.
Toronto FC got the last laugh, however, as Ricketts slotted home a chested pass from Altidore.

DROGBA DILEMMA:
Rumors swirled before and during the game about Didier Drogba not being in the match-day roster for the Montreal Impact because of a falling out with head coach Mauro Biello. The rumors were confirmed by Biello after the 2-2 draw, but the incident did not seem to bother the Impact too much as they were the better team for much of the Sunday showdown.
