Teams are gearing up for the 2020 edition of the Concacaf Champions League, but news is already breaking on the following tournament.

Under the current qualification process, two teams have already qualified for the 2021 CCL, Liga MX Apertura 2020 finalists Monterrey and Club América.

América, currently managed by Miguel Herrera, are also in the 2020 CCL, with the draw for that tournament coming Monday night from Mexico City (9 pm ET | TUDN, TSN). Monterrey are the defending CCL champions, but did not qualify for the upcoming 2020 tournament.

The next 2021 CCL spots will be known in May, when the Liga MX Clausura 2021 finalists will be known, and the Caribbean Club Championship title is awarded. Over the course of the year, four American teams, the Canadian Championship winner, and six of the top Concacaf League teams (made up from teams from Central America, the Caribbean and from 2020, the Canadian Premier League champion) will qualify for the 2021 CCL.
