The US men’s national team won’t have to face Cristiano Ronaldo in their friendly at Portugal on Nov. 14.
The Real Madrid superstar was not included on Portugal’s roster for the match, getting a break from his heavy load for club and country with Portugal already qualified for the 2018 World Cup.

The US are expected to name its squad for the friendly following the second leg of the three remaining MLS conference semifinal matches on Sunday. Longtime Bruce Arena assistant Dave Sarachan will coach the USMNT in the match.
