Columbus Crew SC stars Kei Kamara, Ethan Finlay join the shenanigans on Men in Blazers

It’s already shaping up to be a whirlwind of media engagements surrounding Sunday’s MLS Cup between Columbus Crew SC and the Portland Timbers.

And on Monday, Crew SC stars Kei Kamara and Ethan Finlay joined NBC Sports’ Men in Blazers for a bit of fun with the popular podcast duo.

A serious interview this was not.

Kamara and Finlay went over the highlights of both legs from their Eastern Conference Championship series victory over the New York Red Bulls. And Kamara let everyone in one just what was going through his mind when Bradley Wright-Phillips desperation attempt late in stoppage time to send the match to extra time bounced off the post before he was able to send it out to preserve the win.

“Don’t have spaghetti legs and don’t kick it into your own net,” Kamara said.

Finlay added: “It was nervy at the end for sure.”

Kamara also talked about the origins of his goal celebration from Leg 1 and said in a battle of man buns between him and Timbers center back – who he will presumably get to know very well, very soon – he wins no contest. They ended the quick interview by exchanging Crew SC jerseys for Men in Blazers World Cup shirts. Check it out for yourself.
